Although special
skills may be undertaken at any stage of training, some
posts are not suitable for Registrars who have not undertaken
any GP terms. These include primary care based skin clinics
and drug health services. Please contact your medical educator
if you have any questions about the suitability of any planned
special skills post before arranging
any position.
A registrar may elect to do a period of
training in an area of clinical interest (Special Skills).
This experience can generally be obtained at any stage of
training although many Registrars do their Special Skills
terms directly after their year of Hospital training.
